Tim Kang is an American television and film actor. He is best known for his role as Kimball Cho in the TV series The Mentalist.
Kang was born in San Francisco, California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Fine Arts from the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University. He also studied acting in Russia at the Moscow Art Theatre School. He got into acting later than most, not pursuing it as a career until the age of 26.
