Football running back Tiki Barber was born Atiim Kiambu Barber on April 7, 1975, in Roanoke, Virginia, along with his identical twin brother Tampa Bay Buccaneer's cornerback Ronde. Tiki attended Cave Springs High School in Roanoke and was valedictorian of his graduating class. He excelled in both football and track and received the Cave Spring Knight award for academic, athletic and extracurricular activity. Tiki attended the University of Virginia where he gained 4,883 all-purpose yards, and he rushed for 100 yards or more than 19 times during his college career. The New York Giants drafted him in the second round in 1997, and in his rookie season he started at running back and rushed for 500 yards and had three touchdowns. Over the next few years Tiki became an essential part of the Giants offense, and he led the NFL in total yards from scrimmage in 2004 and 2005. Tiki has announced that he is retiring from football after the 2006 season and has signed a broadcasting deal with "Fox & Friends." In 1999, He married his wife and Virginia alumnus Ginny, and they have two sons named A.J. and Chason.
