Taya Rayden is an American recording artist and entertainer. Raised in Southern, Indiana; Rayden began performing as a child. She excelled in theater, and performing as a whole. It was no surprise to family, friends, and fans when Rayden began landing leading roles in school and town theater shows. "She always had an outgoing charisma about her, just something that drew people into her and an outgoing personality." says Donna Tarailo, Rayden's mother. Rayden currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She is recording her debut album entitled "Sneak Peek" and putting the pieces together for performances where she dances and sings. "It is an amazing show," a Lazar Talent Rep. says.
INFLUENCES Taya Rayden's musical influence are pretty obvious when you hear her music. From a young age she has been a fan of Christina Aguilera's amazing off the charts voice, Britney Spears' stage presence and dance abilities, and Madonna's risky, pushing the edge music. "I've danced for a long time, so I love and really admire good dancers like Britney, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez," says Rayden. "I'm prepared, I think you definitely need to be in a business like this to be compared to people." The first concert Rayden ever went to was Christina Aguilera's. "I remember being in the front row and she touched my hand two times, I was a little girl so of course I was dying! I mean, it was Christina Aguilera. It sounds so funny but she kept on looking at me and I just knew that I wanted to give that to another girl one day."
2008-2009 In August 2008, Rayden took a trip to California with her mother, aunt and cousin to visit her brother who was at the time attending law school. "It was then and there I knew she wanted to stay. I was a little worried I wasn't going to get her on a plane back to Indiana!" Said Tarailo, Rayden's mother. With one year of high school left, Rayden returned to Indiana and did what she had to do to graduate and move on. "It was such a small town, I wanted out. Especially after spending time in Los Angeles, it was like I found what I was looking for," Said Rayden. Times became tough for Rayden in mid 2008-mid 2009. With family issues and personal issues, she did her best to keep going happily. Tarailo said her daughter was "always happy, and upbeat, but there came a point where I could tell that being here (in Indiana) took a tole on her. She wasn't able to do what she loved to do to the extent that she could have been." Rayden then started to get tutored privately and home-schooled, she was ecstatic to find out that she was able to still walk the stage with her class at her high school graduation. Rayden visited Los Angeles one more time in 2009, for work. It was a two-week long stay, she tried to stay but her mother said "if you really want to move here and do this, lets plan and come back." She had no idea what she got herself into.
