Steven Victor Tallarico (born March 26, 1948 in Yonkers, New York), better known as Steven Tyler, is the singer in the band Aerosmith, formed in Boston, Massachusetts in the early 1970s. During his childhood and teenage years, he was sometimes made fun of for having a small head and huge lips.
He started to play drums while a pre-teen, and was a drummer in 5 different bands before forming Aerosmith.
He is known for his wide grin (a trait he shares with fellow rocker Mick Jagger) and for hanging a scarf on the front of his microphone during performances.
His daughter, Liv Tyler, is a famous actress. His other daughter, Mia Tyler, is a plus-size model.
Tyler and his guitar-playing Aerosmith colleague Joe Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants.
