Sophie Duez is a French actress. Sophie Duez began as a singer and dancer with Patrick Bruel (including the song Tired of this chick here). A passage noticed in him "the magazine of modern man" in 1982 and she began her acting career with the film On the shadow of Michel Blanc in 1984, which will be noted and for which it is nominated for a César for Best Actress in 1985.

Follow a period of absence in cinema during the 1990s, but it appears in various television dramas. She comes to the forefront in taking a leading role in the police series Quai number one. During the 2002 presidential elections, it is part of the support committee of Lionel Jospin. In 2008, she appears on the municipal list (PS) Nice led by Patrick German in fourth place (she was elected councilor) on the "Change era" of the left and environmentalists gathered Union left list. She resigned as a municipal councilor on December 12, 2009, announcing at first leave politics, then, on 15 December 2009, announced its entry into the office of the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi (UMP) such as project manager for the renovation and transformation of the old municipal slaughterhouse in artists' studios. During the years 1980-1990, she was the wife of Katché with whom she had two children.
