Sheila Shah grew up in Montreal, Canada, and relocated to Toronto when she was age 13. Sheila speaks fluent French, Farsi and English. Sheila's true calling was evident throughout her early years, from dance performances to theatre and modeling. Late in 2007, she decided to relocate to Los Angeles to finally pursue acting full time.
Sheila continues to hone her craft, training with the industry's top acting and vocal coaches including Larry Moss, Sandy Marshall, Margie Haber, and David Coury. She landed her first role as an FBI Agent in the feature film "Saw V" (2008) directed by David Hackl. Since then she has appeared in television & film, recently completing action feature film Mafia playing opposite Ving Rhames, and Pam Grier, and also drama feature Heart of The Country with Gerald McRaney.
Prior to dedicating herself to acting, and having come from conservative parents, Sheila was persuaded to study medicine. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, a Post Graduate Degree in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, and subsequently worked in the pharmaceutical industry in both Toronto and Miami. While in Los Angeles, Sheila realized another passion of hers, graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in Merchandise Marketing from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
The sister of twin brothers, one with cerebral palsy, Sheila hopes to create awareness for the disease, and has devoted her time to helping cerebral palsy related organizations such as March of Dimes, Easter Seals and UCP. As an official Ambassador for the March of Dimes organization Sheila hopes to raise awareness by spearheading unique fundraising events, calling for nationwide support and join the campaign to find a solution to this neurological disease, improve the quality of life for those already afflicted, and to support research and education.
