Shawn Southwick is an American actress and singer. She is the wife of television and radio personality Larry King. King has recorded one album, In My Own Backyard, for Lofton Creek Records. King was born in Studio City, California. King attended Brigham Young University. She married Larry King on September 5, 1997. She is the mother of three sons: Chance Armstrong King (b. March 9, 1999) and Cannon Edward King (b. May 22, 2000), who are from King, and Danny Southwick (b. Sept. 28, 1981) from a previous marriage. With her brother Paul (Engemann), she had a small (#91) national chart record, "For Your Love", in 1975, billed as Christopher Paul and Shawn.
King is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her father, Karl Engemann, is an executive in the recording industry and began working with the Osmond Family in the mid-1970s. Shawn's uncle, Bob Engemann, is an original member of the 1960s trio The Lettermen. On April 14, 2010, both Larry King and Shawn King filed for divorce. They have since stopped the proceedings, claiming, "We love our children, we love each other, we love being a family. That is all that matters to us". Larry and Shawn just celebrated their 15 year wedding anniversary.
