Serena Scott Thomas turned to acting from a successful career in modeling when she appeared in the BBC production of The Green Man. Subsequent television credits include the Poirot series and She Wolf of London for HTV. The younger sister of actress Kristin Scott Thomas, she made her feature film debut in Peter Medak's Let Him Have It, which was based on a true story and written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, two of the writers credited with the screenplay for The World is Not Enough.
Thomas's subsequent television credits include performances in The Guilty, Inspector Alleyn, Headhunters and Harnessing Peacocks. She received wide critical and popular praise for her performance in the title role of the mini-series Diana: Her True Story. Her other TV credits include Bermuda Grace, After All, Sherwood's Travels and the BBC mini-series Nostromo. Thomas was next cast in a recurring role in Don Johnson's American television series, Nash Bridges and made a guest appearance on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
