Sam Huntington began his career on stage, at age nine, at the prestigious Peterborough Players, in Peterborough, NH (the town where he was born), where he performed over four seasons, in such roles as Jem in To Kill A Mockingbird, opposite James Rebhorn. Over a ten month period spent in New York attending the Professional Children’s School, at age thirteen, he performed in commercials and three films, including Disney’s Jungle 2 Jungle, starring opposite Tim Allen and Martin Short. It was Sam’s wish then to return to New Hampshire to attend high school, and during those years he appeared on the award winning NBC crime drama Law & Order, and in 1998 he co-starred as Jeremiah ("Jam") Bruce in Detroit Rock City, for New Line Cinema. One semester into his freshman year at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, Sam was cast to play a goofy Chris Klein spoof in Columbia Pictures’ “Not Another Teen Movie”. In his next film, directed by Thomas Hayden Church, Rolling Kansas, Sam played Dinkadoo Murphy, a paraplegic with an attitude problem; the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2003 to outstanding reviews and was sold to Comedy Central.
Sam then played a young submarine crew-mate, alongside William H. Macy, in Splendid Pictures WW2 drama, In Enemy Hands. In 2004, Sam starred in HSI and Persistent Pictures’ comedy Freshman Orientation, playing Clay Adams, a college freshman, who is aided in his quest for Miss Right Now by John Goodman. Next, Sam played the lead role in an independent film called River’s End for director William Katt, starred in the MGM film Sleepover, and guest starred on both CSI: New York and CSI: Miami. Additionally he played a recurring role on the series Veronica Mars. Don't miss Sam in the Warner Brothers franchise Superman Returns as cub reporter Jimmy Olsen released in 2006. In 2008's Fanboys Sam plays the lead role of Eric, a car salesman who drives across the country with his three buddies to honor the wish of their dying friend: to watch "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch before the movie's worldwide release. The movie is helmed by the Weinstein Company and Trigger Street. Sam was cast in a lead role in ABC's series Cavemen, a sitcom based on the Geico created characters. Also, look for him in Looking Up Dresses, a 35mm twelve minute film. It was shot in three days from May 16-18 of 2007 in downtown Santa Barbara, CA.
