Ross was born in Scotland, but moved to England with his family at the age of ten when he became interested in acting.

He trained for a year at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead, England alongside Kate Winslet.

He has written one short film 'Forever' and a feature-length film 'Eboneezer Goodbye' with British writer/director Indra Bhose.
