Richard Roland is an American actor. Richard is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan. He was born into a family of performers starting with his parents, Steve and Liz Roland (nee Nelson) who appeared on Broadway in several shows. His father continues to work to this day in commercials and voice-overs. Richard starred off-Broadway in "The Fantasticks", "The Cocoanuts", "Zombie Prom" and "Forever Plaid" and on Broadway in "The Scarlet Pimpernel," the revival of "Follies" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie." He also toured the US for with "Titanic" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie." He spent the better part of a year on "All My Children" (1970) as Jason Sheffield, one of Pine Valley's meaner residents, who still resides in the Pine Valley prison for murder. Richard still works in television commercials, theatre, TV and is the founding member of the jazz vocal group 'Monday Off'.
