Rebecca Mader, born in Coldham's Lane, Cambridge, 1979, is an English actress who has appeared on several American television series.
She played the role of Morgan Gordon on ABC’s All My Children. Mader turned down a contract role and accepted a 17-episode appearance on the show to expand her opportunities. She acted in a handful of series that only lasted for a season, from the thrilling Fastlane (FOX, 2002) to legal dramas like Law and Order: Trial by Jury (NBC, 2005) and Justice (FOX, 2005). Her television credits also include Starved and Love Monkey, and she has appeared in films such as Replay, Hitch and The Devil Wears Prada.
Mader also worked as a model in New York for a year, appearing in adverts for L'Oréal, Colgate and Wella Hair.
With a striking visage and an even more distinctive presence, the blue-eyed British actress launched her career in the early 2000s. She evinced a flair for tackling supporting roles in genre features, such as the lurid thriller 21 Eyes (2003) and the blockbuster drama The Devil Wears Prada (2006), but maintained a higher profile on television, with a memorable role as no-nonsense attorney Alden Tuller in Jerry Bruckheimer's short-lived legal drama Justice (2006). That same year, Mader signed for a supporting part in the tragicomedy Great World of Sound (2007). Beginning with 2008, Mader starred as anthropologist Charlotte Lewis on ABC's Lost. Her recurring role on the series allowed the British actress to play up her adventurous side. Her character, Charlotte, was introduced on the mysterious island in the show’s fourth season.
