Currently, Quddus is the host of Duets, ABC's singing competition show launching in the Summer of 2012. Music superstars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Robin Thicke and Sugarland's frontwoman Jennifer Nettles will serve as mentors and singing partners on the show. Duets premieres on May 24th at 8:00PM PT. Born in Toronto, Ontario to a Haitian father and Dutch mother, Quddus' distinct presence always allowed him to stand out from the crowd. While attending the University of Ottawa, Quddus' artistic passion earned him a spot as the host and programmer of a hit campus radio show. In 1999, Elite Modeling Agency took notice of Quddus and signed him as their next Rising Star as he scored campaigns for Levis, Coca-Cola, and Honda. With a fast rising modeling and radio career, in 2000 Quddus took over as the host of VOX, a new Youth Culture Show on TV Ontario. VOX would go on to win a Gemini Award (Canada's version of the Emmy), while for Quddus it led to his big break - hosting Total Request Live on MTV.
