At just nine years old, actress and producer Olivia Waldriff is already an experienced professional in the entertainment industry. Unlike some kids in the business, Waldriff is not just about her career as a child actor. She is strategically building her brand. In addition to her acting roles in both TV and film, Waldriff is an executive producer -- her company name is Just a Kid Productions.
Waldriff is seen starring in the upcoming HBO movie Grey Gardens, opposite Drew Barrymore, Daniel Baldwin, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Jessica Lange. Written and directed by Michael Sucsy, the story is based on the life of the eccentric aunt and first cousin of Jackie Kennedy (both named Edith Bouvier Beale AKA "Big and Little Edie"). Waldriff gracefully plays the role of young Jackie Kennedy.
Although "Grey Gardens" is Olivia's first film, she has already made a mark in television. Olivia played the recurring role of Grace Morris on the CBC TV series "M.V.P.," which currently airs on both Virgin Media's Living Channel and SOAPnet. Up next, Olivia is executive producing and hosting a new TV show called "The Totally Cool Travel Show." The kids travel show is the ultimate vacation guide where in each episode, Waldriff will visit one of America's most popular cities and navigate its coolest spots -- from the insane and totally fun, to the historic and popular landmarks we all know and love. The show isn't just about a birds eye view in all of the adventures, but actually about Waldriff getting down and dirty, while suiting up to learn the ins and outs of the faces and places she roams. As host, Olivia Waldriff, AKA Kid Traveler, will be a Super Secret Travel Agent hired by the Super Secret Travel Bureau with one mission - to find the totally cool spots in every city she goes. The TV show is in post production and has solid interest from Discovery Kids, Travel Channel and ABC Family. In addition to "The Totally Cool Travel Show," Waldriff is also an executive producer on an upcoming Canadian film called At Home by Myself which is also in post production.
As if all the extra production work isn't enough to keep a kid actress busy, Waldriff is also into giving back. In association with the charity Blessings in a Backpack, she has already sponsored two schools in Canada ($50,000.00 per school each year) and visits many other schools on tour with pop singer/actress Hilary Duff to support the charity.
