Milena Govich, the daughter of Dr. Marilyn Govich (assistant professor of music at the University of Central Oklahoma), and Dr. Bruce Govich (who, prior to his death, was a professor of vocal music at the University of Oklahoma) was born in the month of October (on the 29th day) in the year of the 1976, in Norman, Oklahoma. Milena was raised in Norman, and was the Valedictorian of her high school class before moving on to the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) where she again graduated as the Valedictorian. In 1999, Milena picked up a double-major in Performance and Pre-Med, and minored in Dance and Violin. Immediately thereafter, Milena moved to NYC to pursue an acting career. She performed on Broadway in the 1998-2004 production of “Cabaret” (a musical revival; she joined as a replacement in December 2000, she played “Lulu”, and was the understudy for the lead role “Sally Bowles”), in the August-October 2002 musical revival of “The Boys from Syracuse” (as a Courtesan), and in the Feb.-April 2005 original musical “Good Vibrations” as Rhonda (and as a member of the dance ensemble). Between the 2002 closing of “The Boys from Syracuse” and the 2005 start of “Good Vibrations,” Milena sang in China with Fei Xiang.
In addition to the theatre, Milena has also appeared in several films. She appeared as Alex in 2003's “Bad Behavior,” as Sara in 2004's “East Side Story,” as Julie in 2004's “FD Nayked”, and as Maxine in 2004's “In Love.” Milena has also appeared on television prior to her starring role on the current television series Conviction. She appeared as “Young Angela” in 2003 in the show Guiding Light and appeared as “Manager” in 2004 in the show As the World Turns.
