Making her award-winning debut at 16 alongside Kate Winslet, New Zealand native Lynskey wowed audiences with her explosive turn as a 1950s teen who conspires with her best friend to carry out a scandalous crime, in Peter Jackson's Oscar-nominated Heavenly Creatures (1994). Despite a three-year break spent completing high school and relocating to the States, Lynskey made a welcome return to acting when she played Drew Barrymore's stepsister in the acclaimed Ever After (1998).
