Making her award-winning debut at 16 alongside Kate Winslet, New Zealand native Lynskey wowed audiences with her explosive turn as a 1950s teen who conspires with her best friend to carry out a scandalous crime, in Peter Jackson's Oscar-nominated Heavenly Creatures (1994). Despite a three-year break spent completing high school and relocating to the States, Lynskey made a welcome return to acting when she played Drew Barrymore's stepsister in the acclaimed Ever After (1998). Parts in Detroit Rock City (1999), But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), The Cherry Orchard (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), Snakeskin (2001), Stephen King's "Rose Red" (2002) (mini), Sweet Home Alabama (2002), Abandon (2002), Shattered Glass (2003), Park (2006), Clint Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers (2006) and "Comanche Moon" (2008) (mini) followed.
