Martin Lauret is a former Dutch long-distance runner who specialized in the 5,000 m, 10,000 m, the half marathon and marathon. From 2005 Martin Lauret lay led by Rob Veer to the marathon. He made his debut at the 2005 Amsterdam Marathon, where he finished second Dutchman with a time of 2:20:49. Eighteen months later, in the Rotterdam marathon, when it was run under very difficult conditions he improved as one of the few athletes his personal best to 2:20:45.
