Velasco gained attention among audiences and critics alike after starring in the highly acclaimed Spanish horror film REC and its sequel REC 2. She is also set to star in the fourth and final installment, REC 4: Apocalypse. In 2007, she won the Goya Award for Best New Actress for her performance in REC.
