Jow starred as Geena Fabiano in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous. The teen sitcom earned Jow several Young Artist Award nominations.

She also starred as a guest star as Ruby Donahue in the Disney Channel show "Wizards of Waverly Place" in the episode, "Movies". In the second season of iCarly, she guest stars as Carly's look-alike in the episode "iLook aLike".

Jow's father is Chinese American, while her mother is Caucasian with Cherokee heritage.
