Lucia Parker is truly a ‘Light Bulb’ for Jesus! Her love and passion for Christ have made her one of the best-loved new Worship Artists in Christian Music; already receiving many international awards, Latin Grammy and Dove Award nominations. Her duet collaborations with Darlene Zschech, Ron Kenoly, and Ken Reynolds have topped the Radio Charts and are receiving outstanding reviews. Through her television appearances on CBN, Daystar Television, Atlanta Live, Gospel Music Channel and more plus her Live Concerts, God has taken Lucia’s music and ministry around the globe with no signs of stopping!Lucia is fluent in both English and Spanish, bringing a rich multi-cultural style to her music. She was born and raised in El Salvador, the youngest daughter of a pastoral family. Her childhood took place during a civil war in the late 1980’s, as Lucia recalls: “I learned to worship through it all…literally sometimes we had to drive through gun shots and bombs just to get to church! My parents were Senior Pastors in a church that was one hour away from San Salvador, where we lived; and once we got to church we would just worship and thank God for his goodness and protection.”When she was just 13 years old and there was only a guitar and a tambourine, Lucia would lead worship both in church and in her school. “It was definitely NOT the cool thing to do – sometimes I tried to negotiate with God… ‘Lord, maybe when I’m older or maybe when there is better equipment I’ll serve you…’ but I knew in my Heart, even then, that is where God called me to be!”
Since then, Lucia has had a passion and a calling to lead people into God’s presence with her music – she loves to inspire people from all generations and cultures to unite and worship the Lord together. “My dream has always been to be able to sing in different languages, and God is making my dreams come true! I am currently learning Portuguese as a third language and I dream of going to Brazil and Portugal and worshiping with them in their language – I know the impact is stronger when you show love and appreciation towards someone else’s language and culture”.
Lucia and her husband Jake are currently in partnership with beloved Christian producer Tom Brooks; and together they are ready to release Lucia’s new English album “Everlasting Love”, recorded at New Earth Studios in Laguna Niguel, California with Tom and his amazing Team of gifted musicians; Paul Jackson Jr, Michael Landau, Melvin Davis, Tom Dante, and more. The album is a treasure trove of well-loved Contemporary Praise and Worship songs such as “Mighty to Save” (Reuben Morgan), “Say So” (Israel Houghton), “Everlasting God” (Brenton Brown), “Amazed” (Jared Anderson), “All To You” (Lincoln Brewster), “I Still Believe” (Andy Chrisman) and many more.
