Lonny Ross attended Wantagh High School in Wantagh, NY which he graduated from in 1996. He went on to work as an intern at Silvercup Studios on the production of HBO dramedy Sex and the City.

After leaving Silvercup Studios, Ross went on to intern for Conan O'Brien, on his late night talk show Late Night With Conan O'Brien. He would later appear on the very same show as a guest on January 10 2007.

Ross got his major break when he landed the role of dim witted actor Josh Girard on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock. He currently appears on the show opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.

Ross has also starred in the movie Good Luck Chuck opposite Jessica Alba.
