Thirty-eight year old Kelly Fields is a dedicated nurse from Titusville, Florida, who has spent her life caring for others. She believes that it is about time that she takes care of herself, after realizing that she is overweight. She is determined to get healthy and fit, as she is now having a hard time playing tennis, her favorite sport. She dreams of having children of her own, but her health problem provides a serious risk which must be prevented at all costs. Thus, she teamed up with her ex-husband, Paul , on a mission to lose as much weight as they can. The two met online and got married shortly thereafter. Kelly initially weighed in at 271 lbs, and at the live finale weigh in, she was at 162 pounds, having lost 109 pounds and 40.22% of her original body weight. She came in third place after Ali and Roger. Paul, her ex-husband, was too sick to attend the finale.
