Pickler was born at the Stanly Memorial Hospital in Albemarle, North Carolina to Cynthia Morton and Clyde "Bo" Pickler, Jr. Her mother was 18 years old when she gave birth to her, and relinquished custodial rights to Pickler when she was two years of age.[2] Her parents separated on June 29, 1988, and after being charged for writing bad checks and then convicted in 1988 for drug prescription forgery, her mother disappeared from her life a year later in 1989.
