Katy Johnson is an American Model and Actress born on April 16th 1988. She was born and raised in Boone, Iowa by her divorced parents until she was 17. Katy graduated from high school with a 3.7 GPA and took an academic scholarship to attend Des Moines Area Community College where she Majored in Criminal justice and Minored in Spanish.
Katy was active in sports and was a dancer until she was 16. Shortly after she was diagnosed with Oesteopenia, forcing her to quit activities until her bone density grew stronger. She took jazz, ballet, lyrical and classical dance. At age 18 Katy traveled to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career. She succeeded in one week meeting famous photographer Keith Lander and shooting for Maxim Czech April 2008 Cover. She achieved an eight page spread and later in November of 2008 landed the cover of Max Mexico, another popular gentlemans’ magazine. With this immediate success Katy was forced to put her college classes on hold and move to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time modeling career. Katy has been a part of commercials that include: Kodak, Butterfinger, and KFC.
She co starred in an MTV promo with Rapper Tyga from Young Money. She was also in the Rascal Flatts music video “Summer Nights,” and was Britney Spears photo double in the music video for “Womanizer”. She has also done various look books and clothing campaigns. She became a Bench Warmer girl in 2009 and has worked with some of the top photographers in Hollywood on portfolio pieces.
