Justin works as a writer, composer, actor, musician, among other things throughout New York City. Although he studied drama at Tisch School of the Arts, he spends a great deal of time playing music, both solo and with the Clinton Curtis band. Recent acting credits include “Edgewise” at the Cherry Lane Theater, “Man of La Mancha” at the DUO, and “Death by Vaudeville”. He is the co-creator of the downtown musical comedy duo Pepper and Sam.
Justin also works as a musical director from time to time. Just recently, he was MD for “Two Girls for Five Bucks and the Ten Dollar Heartbreakers” at Ars Nova. Currently, he is MD as well as performing in “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson”, a rock musical written by Alex Timbers (book) and Michael Friedman (music and lyrics), at the Public Theater.
Justin’s main project at the moment is his original musical “Bonfire Night” for which he has written book, music, and lyrics. He will be workshopping the show with the producers of Broadway’s “Xanadu” as well as Alex Timbers directing. Justin also works as a teaching artist at the Salk School of Science in Manhattan. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
