Jonathan Perez has been entertaining audiences since he was first bit by the theatre bug twenty years ago. Born and raised in Moline, Illinois he graduated from Moline High School. Upon graduation Jonathan attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where he earned the degree of Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. During his time at SIUC Jonathan sang a wide variety of music. From being a concert soloist, rehearsal conductor, chorister, and holding leading roles in many musical and opera productions, Jonathan was always in use during his time at SIUC. One week after finishing his degree he moved to Williamsburg, Virginia to be apart of the entertainment department at BUSCH GARDENS where he performed 31 shows a week. After completing his contract with BG Jonathan worked for many touring theatre companies and theme parks from the San Francisco Bay area to rural Indiana.
Then in the early winter of 2006 Jonathan started touring for THEATRE IV (Richmond VA) where he would end up staying for four wonderful seasons. At THEATRE IV he was seen in their main stage production of "Sideway Stories From Wayside School" at the Historical Empire Theatre. Plus being on tour where he has performed in 30 plus states. The Spring of 2010 Jon once again relocated to NYC! He lives in Sunnyside Queens with his wife Ellie Atwood and their cat Samuel L. Jackson. Thanks to mom and dad for knowing what to do with me and giving me all their love and support. Without them I would be nothing.
