Jonathan Del Arco is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Hugh the Borg in Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes "I, Borg" (1992) and "Descent, Part II" (1993) as well as in Star Trek: Voyager as a character named by the Doctor as "Fantome" from "The Phantom of the Opera". His species could deflect their lifesigns so they wouldn't be discovered by regular sensors; they were native to the void, a region of space that Voyager found itself pulled into. (Season 7, episode 15 "The Void".)
In 2003 he was a guest star on the FX Networks Nip/Tuck as a transsexual woman named Sofia Lopez. Since 2007, he has had a recurring role on The Closer as deputy medical examiner Dr. Morales, a gay man. He continued the role on Major Crimes, also on TNT. Del Arco emigrated with his family from Uruguay to New York at 10. At 18, he moved to West Hollywood to pursue acting. He has also performed in several Broadway and off-Broadway plays and a few films. In addition to acting, he is a supporter of GLSEN. He is openly gay and a staunch supporter of President Obama.
