John Bryant Davila is an American actor. John Bryant Davila also known as John Bryant was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He became interested in acting during his last year of high school. After graduating, he moved to Manhattan to study acting with Lee Strasberg. He began writing and performing original theater pieces with fellow actor Alexis Artiles and this led to being cast in his first lead role for Director Ela Troyano in the highly acclaimed film "Latin Boys Go To Hell". Since then, he has worked with many of the filmmakers in Hollywood, credits include: Americaneast, Ball Don't Lie, Blood Shot, Blue, In The Moment, Ghost Stories, Chicano Blood, Crazy Eyes and the upcoming drama Dark Crossing. He is a well-accomplished actor.
John Bryant garnered attention in Kirk Franklin's popular Music Video "Imagine Me" as the wounded amputee soldier returning home from Iraq in a wheelchair. The video has extensive on-air video play and well seen recognition on MTV, VH1, MUN and BET. He was then to Co-star in the Leona Lewis music video, "I Got You". And has since appeared in countless Commercial Advertisements including for Wendy's, T-Mobile, Wrigley's, Freeway, Samsung and HSBC to name a few.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and is of Puerto Rican heritage. Both his parents, Casilda Davila and Juan De La Cruz Davila are retired U.S. Postal Service Mail Clerks. His parents gave him the middle name Bryant after the famed Bryant Park in New York City. John has studied with the Atlantic Theater Company in New York and credits his Method Acting technique to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He divides his time between New York and Los Angeles.
