Jing Lusi is a British actress of Chinese descent. Lusi was born in Pudong, Shanghai, and moved with her parents to the United Kingdom at the age of five. Lusi went on to study Maths, Economics, and English at Peter Symonds College, Winchester, obtaining all A Grades at A Level, before reading law at University College London. She graduated with a 2:1 in 2006.
In 2009, Lusi played Princess Li Hua in KRU Studios The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines. She was offered the part after a chance meeting with the lead actor Stephen Rahman-Hughes in London, who promptly recommended Lusi to the Studio. After an online audition, she won the role and was flown out to Kuala Lumpur. The film required Lusi to speak Bahasa Melayu, which she had to learn phonetically. In 2011, Lusi performed in Jack Falls opposite Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher and Olivia Hallinan, and independent film Breathe (2010) with Ricci Harnett. She appears alongside Anil Kapoor in Tezz and has been involved in high profile advertising campaigns such as Diet Coke with singer Duffy, and Greenpeace. In 2012, Lusi joined the cast of BBC1's BAFTA award winning series Holby City, making her debut in Series 14. She plays Tara Lo.
