Jimmi Simpson (born 1975) is an American actor of television, theater and film. He has had recurring roles on 24, Carnivàle, My Name Is Earl and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as guest spots on The Division, NYPD Blue and Cold Case.
His film credits include Loser, D.E.B.S., Herbie Fully Loaded, Stay Alive, Seraphim Falls and David Fincher's Zodiac.
Theater work includes a headlining stint in the Broadway production of Aaron Sorkin's The Farnsworth Invention; a part he picked over a supporting role in Live Free or Die Hard.
Simpson, who has two older brothers, was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He graduated from Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Alpha Psi Omega fraternity. Simpson now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Melanie Lynskey, whom he met on the set of Stephen King's Rose Red.
