Jette Joop is a German jewelry and fashion designer. She is the daughter of famous fashion designer Wolfgang Joop and his former wife, the journalist Karin Joop Metz. Jette Joop grew up with her younger sister, Florentine (*1974) in Hamburg at the age of 17 and moved to Oxford / England, where she graduated from high school. In 1989 she studied in Switzerland, then industrial design at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design in California.
After the study was followed by work for the designer Barry Kieselstein-Cord (1992 to 1995) and Ralph Lauren (1996) in New York. 1996 back in Hamburg, Jette Joop made his own and founded her own company Jette Joop Europe (15 employees), which is now JETTE GmbH.
