Jasmine Villegas is an American teen R&B, pop singer. She has Filipino and Mexican heritage. After many years of pursuing a career in music, she was signed to Sony Music at the age of 16. At age 7, Jasmine Villegas won a singing contest at a Hawaiian Tropics contest in San Jose, California. She was discovered at age 11 when a man heard her singing while she was walking down the street. He was so impressed that he took her to meet his friend Gabriella Mosci, who was working for producer and music extraordinaire, Damon Dash.

Her manager, Gabriella Mosci saw something special in Villegas and decided to manage her. A day before Villegas turned 12 years old, she was signed to Damon Dash Music. Villegas then began honing her skills in music and acting and was booking jobs in those fields by the age of 10, landing her first acting job in a commercial for the hit animated feature The Land Before The Time. Her first professional singing gig was at age 11, when she performed the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Clippers. She has made an appearance in Justin Bieber's music video for his hit single "Baby", portraying as his love interest. She has made appearances in Justin's US tour and on the Kids' Choice Awards with him. Villegas has also written with musician Nick Jonas. Villegas currently models for Sephora's Tokidoki Line.
