However, Jack did not gain massive prominence until he started his coveted gig on the MTV show “The Osbournes” in 2002. A look at the home and family life of Ozzy Osbourne, the show became a hit and won an Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Non-Fiction Program (Reality). It also earned many nominations, including two TV Critics Association nominations for New Program of the Year and Program of the Year, and a National TV for Most Popular Entertainment Program. The Osbournes ran for four seasons until 2005.
In 2003, Jack shocked public with his revelation for an addiction to oxycodone that forced him to attend rehabilitation. After rehab, he stepped back into the showbiz by taking on the small role of Jason in the Olsens box office smash hit New York Minute (2004), directed by Denny Gordon and scripted by Emily Fox based on her novel. The comedy film also starred Eugene Levy, Andy Richter and Riley Smith. Jack also headlined his own show on Channel 4 called “Union Jack” (2003) and co-hosted “Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On!” on ITV 2, in addition to making guest appearances as himself on many programs, including the TV series “ Dawson's Creek” (3 episodes, 2002-2003) and “Late Night with Conan O'Brien” (2003-2004), and the made-for-TV film Dame Edna Live at the Palace (2003), starring Barry Humphries in the title character. From 2003-2004, he also starred in his mother's short-lived talk-show, “The Sharon Osbourne Show.”
In October 2005, Jack began to star in the show “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie,” broadcast in the UK on ITV 2, in the United States on Travel Channel, in Australia on LifeStyle Channel and in Canada on MuchMusic. The show centers on Jack's training for extreme sports such as mountaineering, rock climbing and kick boxing. After completing the first series, he appeared on the CITV Saturday morning kids' show “Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown” (2005). In the sketch comedy “Sport Relief 2006,” Jack faced ex-singer Richard Proffitt in a one-minute three-round boxing match to raise money for the charity.
Opening the 2007, Jack joined the cast of the new reality TV show “Armed and Famous,” starring apposite Jason Acuña, Erik Estrada, La Toya Jackson, among other celebrities.
