On October 1st 1976, Inna Zobova was born in Khimky, a suburb of Moscow. Her mother was an engineer while her father worked in civil aviation. It was a traumatic childhood for Inna because she was born with a hole in her heart. On top of that, she grew up in Siberia, a barren land where life was difficult. Her father was ill and her mother had to work long hours just to make ends meet, which made it difficult for Inna to have a stable upbringing. When she was 6 years old, she underwent surgery to correct the defect in her heart. The surgery was successful, but playing sports remained a daunting task for her, as it made her breathless. Still, she nursed the dream of becoming a ballet dancer, one of the most prized professions of the old Soviet Union. However, Mother Nature had something else in mind for Inna; she grew too tall and had to give up her dream. Since she loved animals, she decided that perhaps a career as a veterinarian would better suit her. She dove head first into her studies, studying both psychology and anthropology at the University of Moscow. To earn pocket money, she started modeling locally. It soon became obvious to those around her that she was destined for greater things.
In 1994, she was crowned Miss Russia. That same year, she finished second for the Best National Costume portion of the Miss Universe pageant. Two years later, realizing that her future may well lie on the catwalk, she headed to Paris, where her best friend was a model, and met with various modeling agencies. After much consideration, she joined the ranks of Viva Model.
Under their tutelage, she paraded for the likes of Mario Testino, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermes, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel, Thierry Mugler, Christian Lacroix, Valentino, Armani, Dior, and Vivienne Westwood. Also, she was in prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Allure, Marie Claire, Elle, and Glamour.
In August 2002, Inna was selected among over 600 models and became the new figurehead for Wonderbra. Her dynamic nature convinced Playtex executives that she was the ideal person to promote the company's product line. Following in the footsteps of Adriana Karembeu (Sklenarikova) and Eva Herzigova, she is now a bona fide supermodel.
Inna is currently based in Paris, living with her man, television producer Bruno Aveillan, and she enjoys her jet-setting life of traveling all over the world on modeling assignments.
