At age 24, Ian Anthony Dale began appearing on television, starting with a guest spot in a December 2002 episode of Fox crime/drama series "Fastlane." He subsequently landed more guest roles in such TV shows as popular, Emmy-winning CBS cop drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spin-off "Angel," and NBC/CBS military drama "JAG." He also appeared "The Break" (2003), a John Stockwell-Brian Grazer TV pilot for Fox Television with Lana Papke, Dylan Bruno, Kala Alexander and Vanessa Minnillo.

In 2004, Dale landed his first big break when he snagged the recurring role of Avatar Gamma in the hit WB supernatural drama series produced by Aaron Spelling, "Charmed," starring Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Shannen Doherty. He played the character until the following year, and during that time, he made his first film in director Charles Stone III's baseball comedy "Mr. 3000" (2004), playing the Japanese pitcher Fukuda, along with Bernie Mac, Angela Bassett and Chris Noth. He also continued giving guest appearances, in the NBC dramatic comedy series "Las Vegas," the short-lived NBC series "Hawaii," UPN romantic drama "Second Time Around," and Fox's prime time soap opera "North Shore."

After "Charmed," Dale scored his first regular role, as government official Davis Lee, in the NBC sci-fi/drama series "Surface" (2005-2006), and then as a supporting character, robbery/homicide detective Christopher Choi, in the short-lived ABC action/drama/thriller show "Day Break" (2006-2007), starring Taye Diggs.

Meanwhile, Dale appeared in the dramatic TV movie "Company Town" (2006; starring Sherry Stringfield and Michael Michele), and guest starred in an episode of CBS crime/drama "Criminal Minds," CBS FBI drama "Without a Trace," Fox ongoing crime/drama "Bones," CBS police procedural drama "Cold Case," and in two episodes of Fox criticall-acclaimed action/drama/thriller series starring Kiefer Sutherland, "24."

Most recently, in December 2007, Dale returned to the big screen with a small role as an instructor in Rob Reiner-directed cancer drama "The Bucket List," starring Hollywood heavyweights Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
