Hetti Bywater is an English actress. She is known for her minor roles in Doctors and Casualty, and in November 2011, she was cast as Lucy Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Bywater has had roles in Doctors, Casualty, the 2011 film St George's Day and the lead part in the 2011 film Counting Backwards.

Lucy Beale has been part of EastEnders since December 1993. She was played by Casey Anne Rothery until 2004 with Melissa Suffield taking over the role thereafter. In May 2010 it was announced that Suffield had been axed from the show allegedly due to "unruly behaviour" off-set. In June it was reported that the character would be recast. Nothing was heard about the new actress until 14 November 2011, when it was announced the character would be returning to EastEnders in January 2012 with Bywater taking over the role. Bywater's casting with EastEnders was leaked when she was spotted on location filming the funeral scenes for long-standing character Pat Evans (Pam St Clement). In September 2012, she won the 'Best Newcomer' award at the 2012 Inside Soap Awards for her portrayal of Lucy Beale.
