Helen Carey , a native of Boston, has enjoyed a career in film, television and stage for over four decades. She was most recently seen in the multi award-winning film JULIE & JULIA opposite Meryl Streep and prior to that in LITTLE CHILDREN opposite Kate Winslet, Jennifer Connelly and Patrick Wilson. Early stage work includes leading roles at the Guthrie Theater, Stratford Festival Theatre, Ontario; The Shakespeare Theatre and Arena Stage, both in Washington D. C.; the famed Abbey Theatre in Dublin, as well as Broadway's Roundabout Theater, New York where she garnered a Tony nomination for London Assurance. Carey's television appearances include "House," "Without A Trace," "The Practice," a recurring role on "Law & Order" and "Seinfeld." She was also a series regular in both "American Embassy" (shot in London) and "Turks." As well as a Tony nomination, she has received the Theater World Award, two Helen Hayes' Awards and the William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theater.
