Heidi Albertsen was born in Copenhagen Denmark. She has graced runways, magazines, films and commercials around the world. Her classic features have been seen in and on the cover of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Shape, Woman, M magazine, and several fitness magazines, etc.
She has been chosen to be the face of Loreal, Guess, Nicole Miller, Roberto Cavalli and Victoria Secret. She has appeared on MTV, E-Channel, Oxygen, Good Morning America and other shows.
Some of her favorite shoots include many with her friend designer Nicole Miller, photographer Albert Watson in Nice for Escada and with photographer Antoine Verglas for a Max magazine cover and calendar. Heidi has also worked for Clairol, Dove, Neutrogena, Fruit of the Loom, American Express, Vera Wang and Armani to name a few.
Heidi was the winner of Elite Model Look of the Year, joining the ranks of Cindy Crawford, Stefanie Seymour and Gisele Bundchen. In addition to her print and commercial credits, she counts among film credits working with Nicolas Cage in National Treasure, Ben Stiller in Zoolander, Woody Allen directing Celebrity and a David Breashears Imax film Kilimanjaro (To the Roof of Africa) for National Geographic.
Albertsen believes in living a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle, one that combines fitness, beauty, strength and style. She was chosen by Breashears to be part of the team to climb the world’s largest freestanding mounting in Tanzania, Africa, 19,340 feet. She eagerly tackled the demanding climb to the top of the 19,340 peak, a quest that challenged her physically, emotionally and intellectually throughout the expedition. Heidi was also able to capture the beauty of the mountain and her spiritual experiences through sketches, painting, photography and filming her own documentary.
Heidi enjoys her work and adventures as a part of her life experiences, has always believed in keeping a positive mind, no matter what comes her way. She is a strong believer in God and keeps an open mind.
When not working Heidi is an active sportswoman. Amongst other things, she rock climbs, water skis, runs marathons and loves tennis and golf and does yoga.
Globetrotting Heidi is currently busy with several fashion shoots around the world. She recently appeared in ads in Vanity Fair magazine, on a billboard in New York City, on the cover of M magazine, newspapers and on buses in Los Angeles. This spring she took time out to volunteer as a spokesmodel for charities that benefit abandoned children, children with aids and homeless people.
