Verbaan left the show in 2000 to expand her career as an actress. She appeared in the Dutch movie Costa! in 2001. Despite the fact the movie was a public success, the movie flopped. After singing for the theme of the movie, Verbaan also sang her own song; Ritmo.
After a cameo in her first international movie Soul Assassin (2001), she appeared in her next national blockbbuster movie Volle maan (2002). Yet again, the movie flopped. In 2003, Verbaan had the lead in the international movie Adrenaline.In 2004, Verbaan appeared on the cover of the Dutch issue of Playboy magazine. Soon, a lot of rumors came up about the question of Verbaan's breasts were real. Verbaan denied the rumors and eventually made a radiography to proof it.For her role in the 2005 B-movie Joyride, Verbaan receaved a Gouden Ui. The Gouden Ui is a Dutch award that is handed out to the most bad performances.In 2006, Verbaan represented the Party for the Animals at the Dutch general election, 2006.Verbaan is today still one of the biggest actresses in the Netherlands. She made appearances in several movies and shows. After having guest starred in the succesfull show Lotte and being a candidate on Ranking the Stars, she will soon star in 't Schaep Met De 5 Pooten. She will also sing several songs for the series.
