Spotted by a talent manager on a Beverly Hills street, Gabby Soleil had her first job in an advertisement for Met Life, and then in Target and Radio Shack commercials. Meanwhile, she transitioned into TV series and appeared in the Pilot episode of CBS short-lived comedy series "Danny" in 2001 (she was 6 years old at the time). She then landed a recurring role as Adriana (2001-2002) on ABC sitcom "The Hughleys" and guest starred in an episode of ABC sitcom "My Wife and Kids."
In 2002, Soleil scored another recurring role, this time as the young Dee Dee (the adult version was played by Essence Atkins), on UPN sitcom "Half & Half." She stayed on the popular show until 2006. Meanwhile, Soleil could be seen in an episode of Disney Channel children's show "That's So Raven" and ABC sitcom "I'm with Her." She also had a recurring role as Shelley (2003-2004) on the WB show "All About the Andersons."
Soleil debuted in feature film in director Christopher Erskin's poor comedy movie Johnson Family Vacation (2004), playing the youngest Johnson, alongside Cedric the Entertainer, Vanessa L. Williams, Bow Wow and Solange Knowles. Afterward, she returned to television to guest star in a February 2005 episode of popular NBC medical drama "ER" and played a supporting role in the thoughtful TV movie The Reading Room (2005), alongside James Earl Jones and Joanna Cassidy.
From 2005 to 2006, Soleil lent her voice to character Jazmine Dubois on Adult Swim's animated series based on the comic strip by Aaron McGruder, "The Boondocks." Recently, in November 2006, she was spotted as a guest on CBS an hour-long cop drama "Cold Case." As for her upcoming project, Soleil will soon complete her next film, Within, a drama-thriller by director Hanelle M. Culpepper.
