Francis Benhamou is an actress. Francis Benhamou was born in Montevideo, Uruguay to a Morrocan father and an Eastern European mother. She grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from NYU with a B.A. in psychology and a concentration in acting. In 2006 she co-produced and starred in the award winning short Lucia (2006), later landing her parts in Noah Buschel's Neal Cassady (2007) and the mini series The Bronx is Burning (2007).
In 2007 she starred in the award winning film Arrranged, playing a religious Muslim school teacher who becomes friends with an Orthodox Jewish girl that teaches in the same public school in Brooklyn. Here she met Zoe Lister Jones, and a real life friendship led to her playing Zoe's best friend in Breaking Upwards, opening this April 2010. Taking an interest in producing, Benhamou was a consulting producer on the short film You're Gonna Feel Funny After, directed by and starring Rodrigo Lopresti. This led to an executive producer and starring role in the upcoming film I'm Not Me directed by Zak Mulligan and Rodrigo Lopresti.
