Eva Torres an American dancer and model of Latina and Cherokee descent, currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment on its SmackDown! brand. Torres was the winner of the 2007 Diva Search.
After graduating college in 2006, Eve launched her career as a professional dancer, model, and actress in the Los Angeles-based entertainment industry. Her unique look, special talents, and strong mindset have landed her work in many facets of this industry including clothing line campaigns, magazines, music videos, national trade shows, fashion shows, print advertisements, national commercials, and television.
Eve's love for dance and performance blossomed from 8 years of competitive gymnastics, and she has been dancing ever since. Her dance training includes hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and salsa. She was a dancer in TV shows including ABC’s “Show Me the Money!“ as a ‘Million Dollar Dancer’, the 2006 Victoria Secret Fashion Show behind Justin Timberlake, soap opera “Days of our Lives”, SiTV’s “The Drop”, and Damon Wayans’ “The Underground”. She also spent 3 years dancing for the NBA and ABA, and 4 years as a member/captain/choreographer on her college dance team.
She has been involved in both modeling and commercial work for names including Ford Trucks, Nascar, “Best Body” Fitness Magazine, Smooch, Inc., Seventeen Magazine, Wella Hair Products, Forplay, Inc., Zephyr Graphics, and Kisskadee Pendants. Eve has also done promotional work for companies such as ESPN, Xyience Xenergy Drink, the Los Angeles Clippers, Nintendo, Maxim, and for Disney’s “Pirates of the Carribbean”.
Most importantly, Eve is a strong advocate for giving back to the community and supporting community outreach initiatives. She has contributed her time to organizations/projects such as Break the Cycle, Victim’s Right Awareness, Feed the Homeless 2006, Rock the Vote/Voto Latino 2004, The Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Women with S.O.L., and Donate 4 Life. Eve anticipates using success in this industry to broaden her community outreach relations and, specifically, to encourage young women of color to pursue a higher education.
In 2007, she beat out a few thousand girls in WWE's annual Diva Search competition and will most likely be getting involved in catfights on WWE programming soon.
