Emily O'Brien first appeared on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in August, 2006 as Jana Hawkes, Kevin Fisher's (Greg Rikaart) British girlfriend who had her fare share of troubles with the law after a brain tumor caused her to kill Carmen Mesta (Marisa Ramirez).
A native of Bedfordshire, England, O'Brien moved to the states when she was 10 years old. She began performing and studying theater at a young age. After completing two years in college, O'Brien moved to Los Angeles where she landed roles in the horror film "Séance," television's "What About Brian" and "The Reality Show" with Andy Dick. O'Brien was also cast in a music video for "Fall Out Boy."
In 2006, O'Brien starred in the Andy Dick comedy, "Danny Roane: First Time Director." She also has a supporting role in "Coma," a thriller starring Michael Madsen, set to be released this year.
O'Brien is able to perform a number of British and European dialects, and speaks fluent Farsi.
