Diane Tucker (born Diane Lynn McKiel in 1965) is a Canadian poet born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Tucker attended John Oliver Secondary School and at 14 starred in the school play, "Oliver!" By graduation she yearned to become an actor but feared that she lacked the beauty and talent for such an occupation and instead pursued a writing career. She graduated from the University of British Columbia's Creative Writing Program (BFA 1986). Her first book of poems, God on His Haunches, published by Nightwood Editions in 1996, was nominated for the League of Canadian Poets' 1997 Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. She was the League's British Columbia representative for 1998 to 1999.

Her poems have appeared in several Canadian anthologies and have been published in more than fifty literary magazines in Canada, the United States and elsewhere.

Tucker's second book, Bright Scarves of Hours, was published by Ontario's Palimpsest Press in September 2007.

Her first novel is due to appear from Thistledown Press in the autumn of 2009.

For 16 years she has lived in Burnaby, British Columbia with her husband and two children.
