Daren Kagasoff is an American actor. He currently stars as Ricky Underwood on the ABC Family teen soap, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. After taking acting lessons, Kagasoff began auditioning for television and film roles. On one of his first auditions, he was hand-picked by Brenda Hampton to star as Ricky Underwood in the ABC Family television series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

In the January 2010 spread of VMAN, he gave an interview saying that the celebrities that he would like to be compared with are Leonardo DiCaprio and Emile Hirsch. He also said that despite liking television roles, he'd like to appear in movies and plays.
