Before his role in the acclaimed Vera Drake, Daniel Mays worked with Mike Leigh before when he played Jason, the psychotic boyfriend, in 'All or Nothing'. A RADA graduate, he has worked extensively at the Royal Court, most recently as the lead in Vassily Sigarev's critically acclaimed, 'Ladybird'. Television roles include 'EastEnders', 'Bodily Harm' and 'Tipping the Velvet'. Film credits include 'Pearl Harbor' and the leading role of Jason in Antonia Bird's 'Rehab' for which he won the Best Actor Award at the Palmare-Reims Television Festival this year.
