Dow was born in Sebring, Florida. He began his acting career at the age of 9 when he debuted as a lead in the local theater production of Rumpelstiltskin. At age 11 he was the youngest performer to be accepted into the New York Acting Ensemble headed by Executive Producer/Writer Ken Eulo. Dow was cast as a lead in 3 of Ken's theatre productions - A Thousand Clowns, Paradise Walk and The Corpse. Dow landed leads in 2 pilots (Summer School, Diddle Daddle), a lead in the film Killer Deal, a supporting role in the Sci-Fi film From the Ashes and booked his first National commercial.
