Cheyenne Silver was born on July 18, 1978, in San Clemente, California. At the age of 2 her family moved into the mountains, as her father was a California forest ranger. She worked as a dancer in Las Vegas at Cheetahs using the stage name Wildcat. She chose this name because she had grown up in the mountains and saw herself as being pretty wild. When she started in the adult film industry she continued to use the name Wildcat, but was advised that "Wildcat" was not a good enough name, so she settled on Cheyenne Silver. She shot her first scene for Vivid with Bobby Bliss and Elle DeVyne. In 1999 Cheyenne entered into a three-year contract with Vivid. In December 2001 she was Penthouse magazine's Pet of the Month, and in 2002 she worked in the mainstream film This Girl's Life (2003). She was in a serious car accident in December 2005 and suffered several severe fractures to her skull. She was released from hospital a month later. In June 2006 she began to use the name Cara Fawn in her mainstream films.
