Chelsea Rendon is an actress. Chelsea Rendon currently co-stars in the feature film, A Better Life, director Chris Weitz gritty inner city drama that Summit Entertainment will release this summer. Rendon plays feisty Ruthie Valdez, the girlfriend of lead character Luis Riquelme (Jose Julian). A Los Angeles native, Rendon knew from an early age that performing was in her cards. One of her earliest memories is using a vacuum cleaner hose as a microphone to perform all the songs from the movie, Selena.

She was already a professional actor in commercials at age 6 and she booked her first feature film the following year. The seven year-old Rendon portrayed Cristina Fernandez in No Turning Back, an intense drama and true story about a father and daughter who are on the run after an unfortunate accident. The film garnered a great deal of attention and a Best Picture award from ALMA in 2002, as well as the Audience Award at the Malaga Spanish Film Festival in Spain.
