Carol Connors (born November 13, 1952) is an American porn star and erotic actress. She is sometimes credited as Caroline May and Carol Kaiser, and starred in about 20 adult movies between 1971 and 1981. Carol Connors was a staple of the porn business in the 1970s, making a name for herself in such productions as Deep Throat (1972) and The Erotic Adventures of Candy (1978). She started out as an actress in legitimate productions, making her big screen debut playing a waitress in Howard Hawks' Red Line 7000 (1965). She turned to adult entertainment in the early 1970s, and reached the apogee of her adult entertainment career in the years 1978-79 with Gail Palmer's The Erotic Adventures of Candy (1978) and Candy Goes to Hollywood (1979). Subsequently, Connors slipped into the director's chair herself with Desire for Men (1981), in which she also starred. She also appeared on several episodes of The Gong Show as a hostess who introduced Chuck Barris at the start of the show. Her Gong Show appearances were parodied in Candy Goes to Hollywood. Later she married Jack Birch. They are the parents of actress Thora Birch.
